Day Of:
Wear or bring dark loose fitting clothing to put on after your tan. Tight clothes are a no no because they can rub off your processing tan.
DO NOT wear deodorants, perfumes, lotions, or makeup to your appointment. All of these things create a residue on your skin that creates a barrier and keeps your tan from absorbing fully.
IF you have very dry skin, you may use an approved lotion the morning before your tan. Approved lotions include the Body lotion we carry in the studio or any of the HEMPZ brand lotions. PLEASE NO OTHER LOTIONS.
Plan to stay DRY after you are sprayed for 8 hours with the Basic tan or 2-4 hours with the Rapid tan. This means minimal sweating, no bathing children, no spilling drinks. getting wet can cause unevenness in your final tan. After your initial rinse, you are good to go!

After Care:
HYDRATE! Drink your water girl! Hydrated skin holds on to your tan longer and fades more evenly.
MOISTURIZE. Use a spray tan safe lotion 1-2x daily. Dry skin can fade unevenly or get the “alligator skin” look, using a good lotion will avoid this and make sure that you get the most life out of your spray tan.
Avoid super hot showers or soaking in bathtubs & hot tubs. The hot water will cause your skin to soften and to exfoliate off prematurely. Stick to quick dips in the hot tubs vs. soaking & swap the scalding showers for a warm shower.
Avoid scrubs, loofas, or wash cloths until you are ready for your tan to come off. Any exfoliating will cause your tan to fade.
And PLEASE USE SUNSCREEN. Spray tans do not protect your from the damaging rays of the sun, from aging, or from getting a sunburn. If you get a sunburn you will not be able to spray tan for a couple of weeks due to the damage from the sunburn causing your spray tan to not take evenly.
